Reception is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Emails and phone calls are handled between 6:00 am and midnight, Paris time.
Can I smoke or vape at the hotel?
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout Oh la la! Hotel.
This rule applies in the rooms and throughout all areas of the hotel, including at the windows. A €150 penalty will be charged if this policy is not respected.
Can I bring my pet with me?
Pets are not allowed in the rooms or in the hotel’s common areas.
Can I access the internet at the hotel?
Yes, Oh la la! Hotel offers free Wi-Fi access throughout the property.

We accept several payment methods, including Visa, American Express, Eurocard and Mastercard, as well as cash and holiday vouchers.
How many floors are there without a lift?
Our hotel has 16 rooms across 6 floors and does not have a lift.
This means you may need to climb between 1 and 6 flights of stairs. For this reason, the hotel is not recommended for guests with reduced mobility.
If you would prefer a lower floor, please let us know in advance. Subject to availability, we will be happy to accommodate your request.
Is the hotel quiet in the evening, or is it lively?
Our hotel and bar are a true haven of calm in the heart of Place de la Bastille.
The Bastille neighbourhood is lively and vibrant in the evening, especially at weekends. To ensure our guests’ comfort, all of our rooms are equipped with high-performance double glazing (-36 dB) as well as air conditioning, allowing you to sleep comfortably with the windows closed.
For guests who are particularly sensitive to noise, we recommend our four courtyard-facing rooms, which are quieter.
As Place de la Bastille is one of Paris’s major thoroughfares, there may occasionally be traffic noise or sirens during the night, as in any central district of the capital.
Is this a good hotel for a couple’s stay?
Yes, absolutely. With its intimate size and, above all, its spectacular view over one of Paris’s most iconic squares, our hotel makes a wonderful choice for a romantic stay. By a happy coincidence, our very first guests were a couple on their honeymoon from abroad, and they still come back to visit us regularly.
Is the hotel suitable for a business stay?
Yes, Oh la la! Hotel is perfectly suited to business stays.
The metro entrance directly opposite the hotel makes it easy to reach every part of Paris, and a nearby taxi rank is convenient for guests who prefer to travel that way.
All of our rooms can also be prepared with twin beds to accommodate colleagues. In the evening, our business guests often enjoy unwinding with a beer at the bar and chatting with our bartenders in a relaxed atmosphere.
Is there noise at night around Place de la Bastille?
As Place de la Bastille is one of Paris’s main squares, there may occasionally be traffic noise or sirens during the night.
For your comfort, all of our rooms are equipped with high-performance double glazing (-36 dB) and air conditioning, allowing you to sleep comfortably with the windows closed.
For guests who are particularly sensitive to noise, we recommend our four courtyard-facing rooms, which offer complete peace and quiet.
Are the stairs difficult?
Our stairs are typically Parisian in style and go all the way up to the sixth floor.
For reasons of comfort and safety, we do not recommend our hotel for guests with reduced mobility.
Would you recommend the hotel for elderly guests?
Yes, we do welcome elderly guests.
One of our most loyal guests is in fact of a very respectable age, although we have never dared ask exactly how old she is. We always reserve her favourite room on the first floor and keep a bottle of prosecco chilled for her to enjoy with her family when they visit.
Does the hotel have a lift?
No, the hotel does not have a lift.
All rooms are accessed by stairs. If you have any specific mobility requirements, we recommend checking the room configuration with us at the time of booking.

Is parking available at the hotel?
We do not have a private parking facility. However, you can park in the paid street parking spaces around the hotel or reserve a spot in one of the nearby public car parks.

We recommend Q-Park, as it is the closest to the hotel and we have negotiated a preferential rate for our guests.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Yes, all our rooms are air-conditioned to ensure your comfort throughout your stay.
Please note that the system operates either in heating mode or cooling mode depending on the season. This means that air conditioning is not available in winter, and heating is not available in summer.

Are the rooms cleaned during the stay?
Yes, housekeeping is carried out between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
If you would prefer your room to be serviced at a more specific time, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Which rooms are suitable for families?
Our Triple Bastille View Room is suitable for families travelling with one child.
Are baby cots available in the rooms?
Yes, baby cots are available free of charge.
Simply mention it when making your reservation if you would like one to be added to your room.
Can I request a room without a Bastille view?
Yes, we have four courtyard-facing rooms.
They offer complete peace and quiet, ideal for relaxing in a calm setting while still enjoying the charm of our hotel.
Are the Bastille-facing rooms brighter?
Yes, twelve of our sixteen rooms overlook Place de la Bastille, offering beautiful natural light from the afternoon through to sunset.
If you wish to rest during the day, our sheer curtains and blackout curtains allow you to create complete darkness for optimal comfort.
Is there a safe in the rooms?
Yes, each room is equipped with its own safe.
Guests can choose their own personal code to securely store documents and valuables.
Do the rooms have a desk?
Yes, every room includes a desk that is large enough for comfortable working.
Can the windows be opened?
Yes, the windows can be opened in every room.
This allows you to air out the room and enjoy the view.
Is there a hairdryer in the room?
Yes, a quality hairdryer is provided in every room.
Check-in / Check-out
What time is check-in?
Subject to availability, an early check-in may be possible.
Please contact our reservations team if you are planning to arrive earlier. However, if you would like to guarantee access to your room before 4:00 pm, we recommend booking the previous night.
If an early check-in before 4:00 pm is not possible, you are welcome to leave your luggage in our luggage room and enjoy the hotel or explore the neighbourhood while you wait.

Check-out is until 11:00 am.
If you would like to keep your room after 11:00 am, please contact the reception team the day before your departure, or book the room for an additional night.
Can I arrive late at night?
Of course. We welcome our guests at any time of day or night.
After midnight, a night porter is always on duty.
Can I leave very early in the morning?
Yes, you may depart at any time.
Breakfast starts at 7:00 am, but if you let us know the day before, we can prepare a takeaway coffee from 6:00 am.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel?
Yes, we can store your luggage safely and free of charge, either before your arrival or after your departure.
Are early arrivals and late departures allowed?
Early arrivals and late departures are subject to room availability.
A late check-out may be possible for an additional charge and depending on availability.

Unfortunately, we do not have a shower available for guest use after check-out.
However, a spacious restroom is available in the ground-floor bar area, where you can freshen up comfortably before leaving.

What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served every morning from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.
Unless it has been booked together with your stay, breakfast is not automatically included in the room rate.
The breakfast rate is €15 for adults and €8 for children aged 4 to 12.
It is free for children under 4.
Is room service available for breakfast?
Breakfast is not available through room service.
What are the bar opening hours?
Our bar welcomes you every day from 5:00 pm until midnight.

A selection of tapas is also served from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Can I come just for a drink?
Of course. You are very welcome to join us simply for a drink or a cocktail in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Do I need to book to access the bar?
No reservation is required. The bar is freely accessible.
Is the bar open to non-residents?
Yes, the bar is open to everyone, whether you are staying at the hotel or simply visiting.
Do you offer alternatives for food intolerances or special dietary requirements?
We will be happy to accommodate your dietary needs whenever possible.

Yes, of course. When guests leave their luggage with us in the morning, we place it directly in their room as soon as it is ready. Yes, we are located just 600 metres from Place des Vosges, around 7 to 8 minutes on foot, with its beautiful garden and elegant surroundings.
Our hotel is an excellent option for guests looking to stay near Place des Vosges while enjoying a more affordable alternative to the very luxurious properties located directly on the square.
Are you close to Le Bataclan?
Yes, Oh la la! Hotel is located 1 km from Le Bataclan, which is around 15 minutes on foot via Boulevard Richard Lenoir and its lovely tree-lined gardens.
Are you close to Accor Arena (Bercy)?
Yes, Oh la la! Hotel is located 2 km from Accor Arena, just 15 minutes away by metro on line 1.
It is an excellent place to relax after a concert at Bercy. Rather than staying in the Bercy area, you can enjoy the charm of Bastille, with its lively bars and restaurants after the show.
How long does it take to walk to Le Marais?
Le Marais is just a short walk away. Simply cross the square and take Rue Saint-Antoine to reach one of Paris’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
Oh la la! Hotel is a wonderful alternative for enjoying Le Marais while staying at a more accessible price point.
Is the hotel well located for visiting Paris without a car?
Honestly, in 2026, we would not recommend driving in Paris.
Oh la la! Hotel is ideally located for exploring the city without a car, with direct access to some of Paris’s most sought-after areas. We are very close to Le Marais, just a direct metro ride from the Eiffel Tower, and well connected to the city’s major museums and landmarks.
Is the hotel suitable for a stay before eye surgery at Quinze-Vingts Hospital?
Yes, we are located just 300 metres from the Quinze-Vingts National Ophthalmology Hospital, less than 5 minutes on foot.
Many patients visiting Quinze-Vingts choose Oh la la! Hotel for their stay in Paris.
For comfort and peace of mind, we generally recommend a room on one of the lower floors, as many guests staying with us before an eye procedure prefer easier access. Our priority is always to ensure a calm and reassuring experience.
Are you close to Gare de Lyon?
Yes, we are located just 1 km from Gare de Lyon, around 15 minutes on foot, passing by Opéra Bastille along the way.
By metro, the journey takes around 5 minutes via line 1, with only one stop. Simply take exit number 1, “Rue de la Roquette”, which brings you out directly opposite the hotel.
Is this hotel a good choice before or after a performance at Opéra Bastille?

How can I modify or cancel an existing booking?
If you booked under a flexible rate, you may modify or cancel your reservation up until the deadline stated in your booking confirmation.
If you booked a non-cancellable, non-refundable rate, the reservation cannot normally be modified or cancelled free of charge.
However, please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel. Once the cancellation is confirmed, we will do our best to resell the room. If successful, we may issue a credit note, excluding commission, based on the rate at which the room is resold. This credit note would be valid for one year.
